SYNOPSIS
27-year-old Ann Catherine Meyer aka. Lotti, an industrial technician and works council member at the Thyssenkrupp steel factory in Gelsenkirchen, tackles different roles and expectations as she advocates for the green transition and the future of the steel industry, deep in Germany’s rust belt. In her leading position at the local youth chapter of the metal workers' union, she takes action against the rising tide of the far right in the Ruhr region. But at her workplace, Lotti is still the only woman and queer person, in a place frozen in time.
